Abstract

In the pictures we show the interference patterns obtained with a solid Fabry-Perot etalon with the 532 nm radiation emitted by a Nd:YAG laser. In Fig. A using a seed laser, this means, only one longitudinal mode. In Fig. B without the seed laser, this is multimode emission. In this work we show how to control the emission of a resonant optical cavity in a single longitudinal mode.
