Abstract
This article presents the information coding technique that combines properties of stereopsis and the characteristics of strabismus as an optical defect, in order to take advantage of the effects of this visual disease as a means of accessing the three-dimensional information stored in stereograms. The operating principle for this coding method manipulates the images captured by each of the eyes, by means of uncoordination in the directions of the optical axes, as happens with people suffering from strabismus. With this coding method within random point stereograms it is proved that it is possible to make the information hidden in the stereograms intelligible by altering parameters that make up the binocular vision system, these results serve to increa se the level of security in the transmission of confidential information in images.
